Customers and contacts

Import customers into phonebooks, group them into segments, merge duplicates, and track each customer's stage and score.

Customers has four tabs: Contacts, Companies, AI suggestions (field values the AI proposes that wait for your approval), and Consent & opt-outs. Inside Contacts there are three sections: Contact list, Segments and Scoring.

Importing customers from a CSV file

  1. Create a "New phonebook" or pick an existing one.
  2. Press "Import" and choose a CSV file with a mobile column (mobile, phone or «الجوال») and an optional name column.
  3. Check the "Import preview": total rows, invalid numbers, and duplicates in the file, the phonebook or the account.
  4. Set the "Marketing consent source", then press "Import now".

Local numbers starting with 0 are read in your account's country, so make sure the country in Settings is right before importing.

Keeping data tidy

  • Custom fields: add them in Settings (the "General" tab). CSV columns that match a field's key or label are imported into it automatically.
  • Segments: rules that match all or any conditions and leave out opted-out contacts. Use them directly as a campaign audience.
  • Duplicates: a banner appears when contacts share a number or email. Open it to review each group, then "Merge" or mark "Not a duplicate"; you can "Undo merge" from the merge log.
  • Companies: use "Link to company" on a contact to keep all of a client's people under one record.
  • Bulk actions: select several contacts to move them to another phonebook, set their stage, or export them.

Lifecycle stage and scoring

Every contact has a "Lifecycle stage" and a "Score". In the Scoring section add "Scoring rules" that award points for specific events and "Lifecycle rules" that move customers between stages automatically, then use "Recompute scores" after you change the rules.

The "Consent & opt-outs" tab sets the stop keywords: when a customer sends one, every campaign to them stops immediately on all channels.
