Campaigns and broadcasts
Send WhatsApp campaigns over the official API or a QR number, plus email campaigns, with scheduling and opt-out handling.
Campaigns has these tabs: WhatsApp, Email, Social, Ads, Tracking, Templates and Reviews. The WhatsApp tab holds two kinds of campaign.
WhatsApp Cloud API or WhatsApp QR?
- WhatsApp Cloud API: sends WhatsApp-approved templates only. Create the template in the "Templates" tab and wait for approval before it appears in a campaign.
- WhatsApp QR: sends from a regular number linked by scanning a code and allows free text and media, but it is unofficial; bulk sending from it can get the number banned. Keep the delay between messages at 5 seconds or more, respect the "Daily cap per device", and only message people who know you. A QR campaign needs its "Pre-send review" run before it can be created.
Creating a campaign
- Press "New campaign" and choose the audience: a "Phonebook" or a "Segment".
- Pick the template (or write the message for a QR campaign), fill in the variables, and set "Variable fallbacks" for contacts missing data.
- Use "Send test" to your own number first, and check the estimated cost and the excluded count.
- Set "Schedule at" to schedule it, or leave it empty to send now. You can also set "Sending hours" so the campaign waits outside them and resumes on its own.
While it runs you can "Pause" and "Resume sending"; afterwards you can "Retry failed" or "Duplicate campaign".
Email and SMS
In the Email tab, add a "Sending domain" and press "Verify DNS" before your first campaign, then create a "New email campaign" with "Schedule send" and "A/B Test" available. Afterwards you can send a "WhatsApp follow-up" to people who did not open the email. SMS messages are sent from inbox conversations once an SMS account is connected under Channels & integrations.
The platform automatically leaves out opted-out contacts and anyone who got a campaign recently. When a customer sends a stop keyword, every campaign to them stops on all channels; set the keywords under Customers > "Consent & opt-outs".
